Detailing and Working Drawing Project : Reflective

For the 2nd project , we was required to do a report and drawings on the 3K sport complex in Subang Jaya. The area that we covered is the cafeteria and the kitchen . At first , we have no idea on how to start to doing it nor taking notes about what we need to draw or write . Then we when time passes , we know what we are suppose to do. During the beginning , I was suppose to do the drawings as the progression online submission in class I submitted the 1st drawing , although there are a lot of mistake but I know where are the mistake is and that's where we could take the advice from to improve the drawings. As for the second progression online submission during the holidays , due to that I was at oversea  I was not able to complete the drawing as I exchange it to do the report . So for the second progression I submitted the draft of the report . There was times that I don't really know how to start from but I mange to figure it out and start writing the report , there was a lot to do and write , sleepless night pass and finally I have finish my part for the report the day before submission. Although I could not finish my part as the drawing group but in exchange I have done my part as the report group. I learn about UBBL law from this task , more about the building itself and increase the knowledge of building science and detailing and working drawing.

Detailing and working drawing

For this week task we were required to draw joinery . The joinery that I choose is the riverted joinery , the welded joinery and the bolts and nuts. For the diverted joinery I founded it at the stair case were it join the glass panel and the metal support together , as for the welded I also founded it at a different stairs were it join the upper and lower part of the support together and for the bolts and nuts I founded it at a picnic table ( connect with bench ) were it join the two support together to secure the table.

Detailing and working drawing - Remarks and Correction

For this week task we were required to do remarks on another group previous task (assembly furniture) and we were also required to do the correction that the other group gave us and draw it in our journal.

This was the previous task that we have done.

The remarks that the other group gave us :

1.No pointed arrow towards object for specification

2.Blow up not specified with indication of dotted line bubble 

3. Line weight of drawing

4.Dimensions are not arranged on the sides and are not connected

5.Plan should be place with elevation

6. "Plan" change to "Top View"

7.The standardised unit in drawings is in millimetre(mm).

8. There are dotted lines connected to the drawing

9.Empty spaces , not well composition.

This is the correction that we have done inside our drawings , because we can't use our ruler so the drawing may not be as nice as the previous one.

Detailing and Working Drawing - Task 3

For this week task we were required to do some observation on some furniture. The place that went for observation is IKEA , because it has various of furniture to choose and to observe as well. In our journal we were required to draw at least two sketches ( plan , section , elevation , 3D view or blow up detail ) and the furniture specifications as well. For this task I choose to observe a chair , bookcase and a table .

This chair looks simple but it actually can hold up to quite some weight.

This book case have 6 layer and can be adjust the height between it as you wish.

Detailing and Working Drawing Task 2

For Task 2 we are required to sketch 2 furniture (1office chair and 1 chair) and 1 staircase . This task required us not to sketch out the detail of the furniture we are also required to write down the detail drawing specification. This detail drawing specification is to enhance the detail of sketch by writing down it's measurements , function of the furniture , material of the furniture and also it's finishes. It was not only a helpful thing to do and it become more easier to show the client what and how is the furniture not by just showing them the pictures and the sketches as well.

Detailing and working drawing - drafting table

For this week submission we were required to sketch a drafting table . I have drawn the top view , side view , front view and the 3D view . It maybe not nice but it will be improve in the near future and we have also design out cover page as well , I have drawn some doodle on it instead of geometric pattern which was my 1st intent .

IDP 2 - final assignment

The final assignment that we did it was music retail shop that was 2 style crossover and that is hard rock and eclectic style . The shop of the name is called metalhead. This assignment was a ongoing process for weeks and weeks . With the time frame giving I gave my 100 % of time and effort to finish this assignment , it may have some glitches but at least I gave my all and I did not regret .
